Just like managing a real sports team, you need to work within a budget. Each Athlete Item has a base salary that changes week-to-week based on matchups and other factors. Here's the key: Items with higher Multipliers cost more against your salary cap.
For example, if a player has a $10,000 base salary:
- A 1.0x multiplier Item costs $10,000
- A 1.1x multiplier Item costs $11,000
- A 1.2x multiplier Item costs $12,000
- A 1.3x multiplier Item costs $13,000
- A 1.4x multiplier Item costs $14,000
- A 1.5x multiplier Item costs $15,000
You must use at least 50% of the total salary cap to submit a valid lineup. This prevents players from submitting incomplete lineups. Like traditional Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS), an Items salary will be updated to reflect the new game weeks matchup - on GameBlazers, this happens every Tuesday.
Each Contest has it's own Salary Cap that should be taken into consideration before entering and submitting a lineup - for example. the Inferno salary cap is higher than the Spark. Be sure to check the salary cap requirements before enter any of the GB Contest Types.
